Description :
  • Perform full cycle accounting services utilizing cloud applications such as QBO or Xero;
  • Assist with completion of payroll functions.
  • Prepare basic T4 returns.
  • Prepare month-end close procedures including reconciliation of bank accounts and credit cards and ensuring transactions are properly journalized.
  • Assist with government filings such as sales tax returns and payroll filings.
  • Prepare monthly and/or quarterly financial reports and management reports.
  • Collaborate with clients on a regular basis and assist them with day-to-day accounting inquires.
  • Communicate issues to manager and collaborate on resolutions.
Requirements :
  • At least 1 year of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in a professional services setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, enrolment in the CPA program an asset.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in the use of relevant computerized and cloud-based financial accounting systems.
  • Intermediate to high level proficiency with MS Excel, Xero, and QuickBooks Online.
  • Knowledge and understanding of ASPE.
  • Knowledge and understanding of HST rules.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
